Follow the units in order if you are new to Korean, or jump to a chapter if you are reviewing a specific topic. Each chapter focuses on one concept and builds on the chapters before it.
Unit 0
Unit 0 focuses on teaching Hangul, the Korean alphabet. Start here if you are a beginner.
- The Korean Alphabet - Hangul: Learn the basic letters of the Korean alphabet, Hangul. Reading Korean is simpler than you might think.
- Aspirated (Strong) Consonants: Learn the strong aspirated Hangul consonants ㅋ, ㅌ, ㅍ, and ㅊ and how they differ from plain and tense consonants.
- Tense (Double) Consonants: Learn the tense Hangul consonants ㄲ, ㄸ, ㅃ, ㅆ, and ㅉ and how they differ from plain and aspirated consonants.
- Diphthongs: Complex Vowels: Covering diphthongs. Diphthongs are complex vowels that look like a combination of two vowels.
- Basic Korean Words: Covering the most important words to know in Korean.
- Further reading, pronunciation and practice: If you completed all previous chapters you now know all letters of Hangul. What's next?
